These days, I am reading "Odyssey - Pepsi to Apple" by John Scully, a marketing genius who tells his story of a journey from break-the-neck competetion and number crunching world of East coast America; to the wonderful world of ideas and imagination.

John Scully was the youngest Marketing VP Pepsi has ever had. He moved to Silicon valley when Steve Jobs asked him to choose "Making history" over "selling sugered water".

A nice read for someone who likes ideas and is driven by them. (me ;) )

No Gut No Glory

Glory belongs to individuals who have pushed the limits of our perceived capacities. It takes enormous courage to withstand the notions of everyone around and sometimes from within, and remain focussed on the mission.

A wonderful thought

Benefits of taking short breaks while doing daunting tasks

* Your conscious mind is a linear processor. When you are stuck, it usually remains stuck head-on and getting a different perspective is very difficult then. When you take small breaks, you kind of delegate that task to your subconscious parallel processor, which is very effective.

* If during your short break, you prefer to walk or change your physiological state(i.e. if you are coding, then go play racquet ball) the increased blood circulation also helps in getting a recharge.
