50% Off!! Oh Really
How stupid can one be to not get what actually is the deal behind these 50 p.c. off banners. These days ,with the economy moving on a positive derivative, the window shoppers are now into the shop. Such offers are really one of the most easy way to decoy people out from their lives and make them buy stuff they actually dont want.
We had to buy some stuff for our placement interview's and stuff, and were also victimized by these fluttering ads. Though the stuff was pretty good, I ended up buying a lot more than I originally planned. I cant explain why.. and it sounds foolish enough to admit giving into the temptation of availing the "off-er".
Is there actually any dicount or its just like doubling the price and bluffing the sheepy customers. To me the other option seems to be the case. In a town as small as roorkee, at this time of the year when people generally dont buy, there are 3 brands offering 50 p.c. off;out of which 2 are the first ever encounter for me.
It would'nt have been much of a job-- to come up with any random name( blueOranze or PurpleLemon) ,get some logos' designed ,get the clothes patched and paste a label of thrice the actual price. And flood the market with these off-ers. I dont mind buying and shopping and I am not at all against the market moves...but I am deadly against the exploitation of the mentality of indian buyers, their inabilty to keep their eyes off from the discount banner. Any damn company can reap huge sales ..and who knows whether the gift is worth the pack of not.
In the end I want to advice anyone who reads this, to use his/her head before touching the pocket.
